Its the last week of March in 2023. Which means we are 25% done with the year 2023! We have not been idle. We have achieved many things in this 3 months both in and out of the company. Here’s a recap of what has happened so far.
A New Office
The biggest highlight in this pass 3 months is the opening of our new office space. With the team rapidly expanding and covering more grounds, our old office can no longer contain all of our people. We decided to move to a new office. At least 3x the size of our old office space, with brand new cubicles, two meeting rooms (which we affectionately named Euler and Lagrange) and our very own RF lab for test and measurement!
The new office space will be able to accommodate the many new hires that is coming in starting from April. Compared to our old office space, this is a place we can call home for FILPAL! We are looking forward to host the many guests that are coming in the next few months.
Our First RF Training
We conducted our first RF Industry-Ready training this February in collaboration with PSDC (see our last article). It was a milestone achieved for us to be able to hold a 4 days training for the electronic industry in Malaysia. Our goal is to be a RF Turnkey Solution, providing hardware, software and even talent development solutions. Successfully conducting this training program with PSDC will be our first step to fulfilling this dream.
This will be a recurring program with our next training scheduled every quarter. We look forward to our next training program in May.
The Ship Campus
We have the privilege to be invited to the ship campus to share our insights on the RF industry to a batch of computer science and E-business students. Situated at Batu Kawan, Penang, The Ship Campus is a college by Peninsular College that is literally built in the shape of a ship! We took the opportunity to share our insights also on the emergent trend of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Understandably concerned, it was a good chance to encourage the students to use technology instead of being afraid of it. As how the trainer puts it:
Humans are never defeated by technology, but only by humans who know how to use technology
We also had a chance to catch up with some old friends working in the Ship Campus and even got a chance to tour the campus and see their latest Industry 4.0 facilities!
Looking Forward to IMS 2023
And it doesn’t stop here. Its time to start preparing for our first ever overseas exhibition. The International Microwave Symposium (IMS) 2023 is the largest gathering of everyone RF and Microwave related from the academia and industries alike. Organized annually in the US, it is the best place to connect with people in our field. And this year, not only are we setting up a booth in IMS 2023 exhibition, we will also be there to give a technical forum on a paper we had written.
